2. SCHEDULING
- Three-game (3) format may play on either day. You may request which day you'd like to play, but we cannot GUARANTEE. It will depend on the number of teams in the age group.
- We will try to accommodate all scheduling requests, but we cannot guarantee all requests.
- Divisioning: We will do our best to place teams in appropriate divisions to ensure competitive games.
- Teams may view their schedule online once they are published; however schedules may be changed up until the day prior to the event.
- Once the schedule is posted, we have no control over whether teams show up to play.
3. TOURNAMENT FORMAT
- The Waza Friendlies is a friendly competition – no scores or standings are kept and no awards are given out.
4. DURATION OF THE MATCH
- The game clock will start at the scheduled game time, regardless.
- Games will have a 50-minute running clock.
5. NO WARM-UP on the field!
6. FORFEITURES
- In the event that a team that does not show up, the team present may have the use of the field for that game slot.
7. SUBSTITUTIONS
- A player may be substituted on at a stoppage of play only with the permission of the referee.
- If the age group is U15 and under, free substitution is allowed. For age groups U16 years and older, free substitution is allowed providing the tournament is not an official competition (but a friendly club tournament) and the age category does not include matches between national teams of CONCACAF member countries.
- Substitutions may be made with referee’s approval only.

8. NO PROTESTS!
9. FIGHTING
- Waza Dad's Club reserves the right to stop game play at anytime due to aggressive game play or fighting by players, coaches and parents.
- If this occurs, one or both teams may forfeit the game.
- No refunds will be given for any forfeit.
10. INCLEMENT WEATHER
- The tournament committee and/or director have the right to stop games due to weather.
- Games interrupted in the first 23 minutes will continue if time permits.
- The tournament committee and/or director have the right to move or switch games or fields at anytime.
11. RISK MANAGEMENT
- All coaches, assistant coaches, managers and any other volunteer on the sideline of the players must have a valid risk management card.
- Risk management cards must be presented at team registration and at any time when requested by the Tournament Director.
- Team officials from state associations other than Michigan must provide their respective state association’s risk management or kid safe clearance documentation.
12. COACHES AND MANAGERS
- Teams shall take the same side of the field for their benches. Parents and spectators shall take the opposite sideline from the teams.
- No spectators are allowed behind the goal areas.
- The home team is located on the north side of the midfield line and kicks off to begin the game. The visiting team is located on the south side of the midfield line.
- A maximum of three (3) coaches per game is allowed. Teams must have a rostered coach or manager on its sideline.
- Coaches may not cross the centerline.
- Coaches are responsible for the conduct of the team, parents and supporters.
- Tournament officials reserve the right to suspend or terminate games as they deem necessary.
13. BLOOD SAFETY RULE
- If during the course of a game a player is witnessed to have an open sore or wound, the referee will require the player to leave the field.
- As in the case of an injury, the player can be substituted. The opposing team, if desired, may substitute (one for one).
- The referee will determine the player’s status for return only after complete clean-up (including uniform) has been accomplished.
14. ROSTERS/RELEASE FORMS
- Rosters/Release forms are required to be turned in one hour prior to the first game. Rosters will not be accepted without complete information (i.e. player name, birthday and signatures). It is the coaches’ and managers’ responsibility to have a roster on file upon registration of team.
- Player signatures (parent/guardian if player is under 18) must be on the roster. A player is not considered to be rostered if the player/parent signature is not on the roster/wa
